School attainment, Glasgow City Region, 2009/10-2022/23
School-based educational attainment, as measured by the percentage of school leavers with awards at SCQF level 5 or above, has improved in Glasgow and across all the local authorities in the Glasgow City Region since 2009/10. Attainment levels in East Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire are the highest in the region for this measure, while most of the other authorities lie close to the Scottish average. All local authorities saw an increase in 2020/21, and Glasgow has maintained this through to 2022/23 (84%).

SCQF stands for the Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework, which brings together different sets of qualifications into one comprehensive and integrated framework. SCQF classifies various Scottish educational qualifications within comparable ‘levels’. Level 5 includes Standard Grades credit level.
