Families with young children

This group crosses over with all other groups. Families can experience a significant reduction in income whilst reliant on maternity and paternity payments.

Figures showing how many children live in households where there is a child under one year of age in Glasgow are not available, but there are figures at a Scottish level detailing the poverty rate for these households.

Both relative and severe poverty for these families have grown in the time period shown, from 27% to 34% and from 17% to 24%, respectively.
