Mental well-being in selected Scottish cities
The Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS) is a scale for assessing positive mental health (mental well-being). Candidates are asked 14 positively worded questions with five possible answers, and their scores are derived on a scale of 0-70, where 70 represents the best mental well-being, and 0 the worst.Glasgow had the lowest mean mental well-being score of the selected cities over the period shown, 2008-2011. Both Edinburgh and Aberdeen have had higher scores over this period, closer to the Scottish average.
