Households coping well or "getting by all right" financially in Glasgow and Scotland, 1999/2000 - 2021CF2012 22There has persistently been a lower percentage of households that are coping well financially in Glasgow compared to Scotland over the nine years between 2012 and 2021, although that gap has been more narrow since 2017.

The dates shown here mainly predate the cost-of-living crisis, and so it is not yet known what impact that will have had on people's responses to this survey question. 

These data come from the Scottish Household Survey. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic meant a change in methods for the survey for 2020 and 2021. There are no estimates at local authority level for 2020 and the figures for 2021 are considered not comparable with previous years. More details on these changes can be found on the SHS site.
