The graph above highlights trends in the proportion of the population living near derelict land. In Scotland as a whole, the proportion of the population living near derelict sites has reduced slightly since 2010. Glasgow has by far the highest proportion of people living near derelict sites out of the four major cities (53% of the population live within 500m of derelict land) but this has reduced slightly in recent years. The rate of people living near derelict sites has also decreased in Aberdeen and Edinburgh in recent years.
