Neighbourhood safety in Glasgow City Region local authorities

Glasgow was one of the Glasgow City Region local authorities with the lowest percentage of residents feeling "very safe" or "fairly safe" walking alone in their neighbourhood at night. West Dunbartonshire had the lowest percentage (70%), compared to East Dunbartonshire, which had the highest percentage (87%).

Socialcap rating GCR 2020Glasgow had the third-lowest percentage (92%) of adults who rate their neighbourhood as a good place to live out of the eight Glasgow City Region local authorities. However, almost all local authorities had a percentage of 90% or greater. Almost all respondents in East Renfrewshire (99%) and East Dunbartonshire (100%) felt their neighbourhood was a good place to live.
