Secondary school attendance varies across the local authorities in the Glasgow and Clyde Valley area. Glasgow had the lowest levels of attendance from 2003/04 to 2008/09 but in more recent years attendance rates in Glasgow have been slightly higher than in North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and West Dunbartonshire. East Renfrewshire has had the highest levels of attendance over the period.

Notes

Prior to 2007/08, S6 were excluded from the data for secondary schools. Since the 2010/11 publication the Scottish Government now only publishes data on attendance once every two years.
