White ethnic minority groups (0-15 year olds) in selected Scottish cities
Around 8% of Edinburgh’s 0-15 year olds were recorded as ‘Other White British’ (excluding White Scottish) compared to just 2% in Glasgow. Aberdeen has the largest percentage of 0-15 year olds from ‘White Polish’ (6%) and ‘Other White’ (5%) ethnic groups of all the selected Scottish cities.
Non-white ethnic minority groups (0-15 year olds) in selected Scottish cities
Glasgow has the largest percentage of children (0-15 year olds) from non-white ethnic groups (33%) while Dundee has the smallest (16%), compared to the selected Scottish cities. Glasgow has a considerably higher percentage of children from Pakistani ethnic groups (9%) compared to the other Scottish cities. Aberdeen and Glasgow have the largest percentage of children from African ethnic groups (8%). Edinburgh has the largest percentage of Mixed or multiple ethnic groups (6%) of the selected Scottish cities.
