Non-white ethnic groups in the Glasgow City Region
Glasgow has a larger percentage of non-white ethnic groups compared to the other selected local authorities in the Glasgow City Region (19%). East Renfrewshire has the second highest percentage of non-white ethnic groups with 13%, and the highest percentage of people from Indian and Pakistani ethnic groups compared to the other selected local authorities.
White ethnic groups in the Glasgow City Region
East Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire have a higher percentage of the population who are ‘Other White British’ (excluding White Scottish) compared to Glasgow. Glasgow has the largest percentage of ‘White Irish’ (2%), ‘White Polish’ (2%) and ‘Other White’ (4%) compared to all other selected local authorities in the Glasgow City Region.
