Volunteering in selected Scottish cities

socialcap volunteering SCOT 2020The chart above gives information for adults living in the 20% most deprived areas of Glasgow, the rest of Glasgow and Glasgow as a whole, compared to Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh.

In Glasgow, 22% of adults had volunteered in the last 12 months, which is lower than the figures for Scotland (26%) as a whole and, particularly, Edinburgh (29%).  Of adults living in the 20% most deprived communities in Glasgow, only 16% had volunteered in the past 12 months, compared to 27% of the remaining 80% of the city.
